We are proud to bring you the Inaugural issue of itravelindonesia. The young team felt that it was time to go beyond just booking your discounted hotels and Indonesian domestic flights. So here we are.

In this Animal issue, we take a close look at my favourite destination in Indonesia, the Seminyak district in Bali. For our funky jilbabbers, Islamic fashion makes waves in London’s fashion week.

For the hordes of Indonesians flying to Singapore to shop and visit the doctors, we say there is more to Singapore than just Takashimaya and Mount Elizabeth.

Indonesians are the happiest people in the world. We look at a recent Norwegian survey that tells us that Indonesians smile more than anyone else on the Planet.

It is a modest start for us. In the next year, we will bring together articles that we hope will entertain, inform and bring you back. We hope that you will be a frequent visitor to itravelindonesia. As always, send us your feedback, kudos, and brickbats to cs@itravelindonesia.com.

Happy holidays.

Swiss Belhotel Borneo Samarinda Kalimantan

Swiss-Belhotel Borneo Samarinda is the first International class hotel in Samarinda.
The Swiss-Belhotel Borneo Samarinda is a megalith and is conveniently located in the business district of Samarinda, the capital city of East Kalimantan. It has direct access to the Central Plaza, one of the largest malls in Samarinda. That gives you somewhere to shop while waiting to depart for your River or Jungle trek.

The Swiss-Belhotel Borneo Samarinda
has a fantastic panoramic view, overlooking the busy Mahakam River.

The rooms, in keeping with the Swiss Bel Hotel brand name, are well appointed and have all the usual modcons. We would have liked them to be a little bigger though.
The swimming pool is especially pleasant, with water features, and is a good place to spend a hot Samarinda afternoon.

The Swiss Bel hotel Samarinda is clearly built for the business traveler and there is an efficient business centre and Internet connection is available.
The restaurant served standard Hotel fare and live bands play nightly in the Lobby Lounge.
